Springtime's New BeginningSpringtime is the perfect time of year to start over new, no matter what goal is set. As we look around, we can see flowers blossoming, trees blooming, and life brooding. We can draw inspiration from the nature around us and use it to benefit ourselves. Now is the time for new beginnings because spring is at the start of a new year, nature’s natural beauty inspires us, and it’s at a time when other burdens are few. There are those who make New Year’s resolutions on the first of January every year. Whether or not they keep them, I don’t know. I can not make resolutions when the earth is so dead and bleak. Springtime is when I consider it the beginning of a new year. It may not have a convenient date, but the earth keeps its own natural time which is good enough for me. This is the time of year when plants begin to live again. It should be the same for people as well. Nature’s natural beauty inspires us to be better. I walk outside and feel a simple bliss that I can not expect from a cold wind. Each flower that blooms reminds me of my own ability as a human. I can conquer any task I wish if a tiny plant can climb out of the ground and reach toward the sun. As one of God’s creations, I wish to be as successful as the tree that spreads open it’s branches to reveal a coat of leaves. The natural beauty surrounding us is the perfect atmosphere we need to thrive in. We really do react to what we see, and what better thing to react to is there than a lilac tree in full bloom. Spring marks the end of winter, and the beginning of summer. For the students in school, the yearning to get out is greater than ever. Most of us have the benefit of a few weeks of leisure in this time. We approach the end of the school year and there is only so much more to be taught. This free time we have is the perfect opportunity to set new goals or to make changes in ourselves. If the decision to make a change is procrastinated, more burdens will only be added on. The decision needs to be made now.
